Sierra Grand Opening of New Building

October 1, 2010

On Friday, October 1, 2010, Sierra hosted a Grand Opening for its employees, their families, and members of the Brighton, Colo. community. The event honored the hard work of the design and build team and the Sierra team who performed much of the work.

The ceremonies began at 4:15pm with the Marine Air Control Squadron of the Fourth Marine Aircraft Wing raising flags of the United States, the State of Colorado, the POW/MIA and Sierra Detention Systems.

Speakers at the ceremonies included Mayor of Brighton, Dick McClean, Sgt. Kevin Byrnes USMC and Russell Pilcher, CEO of Sierra.  After the completion of the formal ceremonies, guests enjoyed cocktails and hors oeurves  while staff demonstrated Sierra's array of security products in the newly fashioned model/conference room.

Sierra's new facility includes 38,000 sq. feet of manufacturing and office space which is designed to function parallel to the flow of an actual project. The manufacturing space for both steel and electronic products is located on the first level of the facility.  Project Management, Engineering and Executive offices are located on the upper level and is designed to promote Sierra's 'open door' culture. The facility is situated on a total of six acres of property in Brighton, Colorado.
